Right: Is that denim? No, it's a fully lined cotton mock denim dress by Akemi Okamoto. Twirl and spin, it has that old school femininity that everyone wants and needs for Summer 2012. Lovely, and ladylike.

This denim-look pleated dress is one of my favorite pieces from Akemi Okamoto. It's light weight and makes me feel like I'm heading to a picnic. This dress can be worn with Chanel flats or a pop of color with peep toe pumps in cherry red. No need for knickers, the length of the dress falls just slightly above the knee. The dress is 100% Cotton and fully lined with a sheer white. Also comes in black and a multitude of other styles. This particular dress has a tie in the front and a deep V neck for the decolletage girls. The perfect must have for Spring and Summer 2012. Denim Pleated Dress $286

For the organic and silk lover, this colorful dress is 100% Organic, and 100% Silk. Amazing for warm weather and can also second as a coverup on the beach. The blend of nature-like colors flowing on a smooth silk can make anyone glow. This can go from the daytime to night. Pair with a cute skinny belt. Silk Chiffon Dress by Althea Harper $395

The LBD by Verrieres and Sako is versatile as a black dress can be. Stretch-fit and has a tie in the front for added sex appeal. V cut in the back and a modern but Audrey Hepburn feel. Appropriate for all attire needs and wants. Not too short but not too long, wear with anything your dreams desire. LBD $253

Combine prints with Kajan Padraig's 100% Silk halter top with rope tie and contrasted stripe skirt. The Barcadi party colors in the silk satin top are fun and also elegant. The skirt is easy to slip on and molds to the body. Cute, sexy, fun and bold. This outfit is a piece of art. Halter top $52, Contrast Skirt $74.

This unique style of this two toned dress is a juicy eggplant and jet black color. It forms to my body but not too tightly. 95% Modal, 5% Spandex.The straps can be worn as pictured or played around with. Kajan Padraig Two-Toned Dress $102

Throw on this Houndstooth jacket over anything. I love that it is comfortable like a sweatshirt but classy and fashionable. Can be paired with all black for a striking look, or with colors like this stretch jersey dress. It doesn't look like it, but I can run miles in this outfit without the dress rising, or feeling like the garments are too tight. Sleeves are full length but can be rolled up with ease. At the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts this past Wednesday, Project Inform hosted a fashion show and fundraiser for HIV and Hepatitis C prevention and awareness.  "An Evening of Hope" featured designer gowns and menswear made from condoms.  That's right condoms!  It was a fabulous evening featuring great fashion and I was very proud to take part.  I'm wearing a 100% organic silk printed dress by Althea Harper and a vegan suede/leather iPad purse by REVEAL.

Kajan Padraig also seen at recent Oakland event featuring styles from Show and Tell – a new to open store in a great, up and coming area in Oakland.

Our neighborhood boutique Chloe Rose picked up some items from our San Francisco based designer Kajan Padraig's recent collection. Kate from the boutique pairs this multi-colored silk top from the designer in a perfect outfit that ties in all the colors in the print. The indian summer theme was Kajan Padraig's main inspiration for this season's collection. The essence of the theme is perfectly highlighted in this look and couldn't be more appropriate for the time of the year our city considers the warmest!

The collection includes a number of other pieces in different silhouettes and fabrications with the same print as well as other garments in solid colors from the print. We love what Kate from the boutique matched together here to make it her look of the week!
