Inspired by vintage, eerie photographs, often with ghost themes, Althea Harper created her own, unique prints on organic silks and stretch cotton sateen.  Her Spring 2012 Collection is defined by a cool, mossy color palette with signature printed tops, tunics and dresses, sexy cocktail dresses with great stretch, and work-ready, sophisticated separates in stretch cotton sateen and thick stretch linen.

Althea Harper has expanded her offerings of printed silk flowing blouses, seen here, to include gorgeous longer flowing tunics and dresses in the same organic silk prints.  These dresses and tunics are perfect to add a belt or to wear long and loose.  Each style is available in either print or in solid black, gray and cream.

Retail Price Points range from $340 – $375 for 100% organic silk chiffon tunics and dresses.  

In addition to the flowing silk dresses, Althea Harper has also added this beautiful structured cotton sateen dress (shown left) with side leather paneling and velvet trim piping.  The dress offers a small amount of stretch so is comfortable to wear all day long and fits most body types.  The dress is available in black or stone colors.  Retail Price is $385.

Several color options are now available in several styles already available in the Althea Harper Fall 2011 Collection. 

The Cormier Silk, Lace Top with Velvet Trim is available in black, gray and cream.  Retail Price is $240.

The Argento Printed Cotton Sateen Dress with stretch side paneling is available with a front cutout or without and also comes in two prints.  Retail price is $375. 

The Annulka Leather Side Panel Skirt has gorgeous draping side leather that forms deep pockets.  The skirt is available in gray or black and with or without the lace detailing.  Retail Price is $375.

Introducing two ORIGINAL prints designed by Althea Harper. 

The Vivienne Print resembles blossoming tree branches right before blooming for spring.  The Soundwave Print is inspired by the frequency patterns created by soundwaves. 

Each dress is constructed from cotton sateen and several are finished with silk trim and mesh or leather insets. 

The knit full length and crop tunics are perfect for beach cover-ups, and upscale casual dressing. 

The Harmony Dress, full length tunic dress, is available in White, Sky Blue and Black.  The Ruth Top, crop knit tunic, is also available in White, Sky Blue and Black.  Layer each with a statement necklace or over printed leggings.

In June, Kourtney Kardashian was seen leaving a Los Angeles restaurant, heavily photographed by paparazzi, wearing Althea Harper's One Shoulder Lorenzo Dress.  The mini dress features Althea Harper's Futurism print seen in several other styles of her Fall Winter 2010 collection, and is finished with a knitted one-shoulder.  

This August, Kim Kardashian wore Althea Harper's Carra Dress, for the promotional photoshoot for Keeping Up with the Kardashians.  The Carra Dress is also a super sexy one-shoulder dress in all black stretch silk with black mesh side cut-outs and one sleeve.

On Monday, Feb. 15th on a snowy Manhattan evening, Althea Harper debuted her Fall Winter 2010 Collection to a crowd of media and buyers in a Chelsea neighborhood gallery.

The over 30 piece collection was shown in 22 coordinated looks including striking leggings, edgy blazers, mixed textiles and a handful of signature knits.  Dominated by neutral colors of beige, black and navy, the collection also included two prints entitled metropolis and futurism.

Leather and mesh mixed with cashmere and silks to create a striking collection that is definitely fashion forward.
