Mai-Linh Lofgren wears a custom designed dress in plum by Heike Jarick to the Academy Awards this Sunday.  Mai-Linh Lofgren is accompanied by actor Michael Stuhlbarg.  The gown was specially designed for the occasion.

Althea Harper has worked for and studied under major fashion design houses including Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Tory Burch, Vivienne Westwood and Zac Posen.

In the Fall of 2009, America was introduced to Althea’s design talents as she cut and sewed her way to the finals in Project Runway Season 6.  She showcased her debut Fall 2009 collection at Bryant Park during New York Fashion Week.

Since this fantastic achievement, Althea Harper launched her signature design label, which is available through the Altitude Fashion Showroom.  Mixed textiles, signature knits, sophisticated suiting, structured dresses, and wearable separates define her design aesthetic while offering a very fashion forward, almost futuristic look.

Graphic t-shirts from Revelation by M.E.’s PreRogative Collection have versatile styling features just like their signature contemporary fashion collections!

Here we see the graphic personality tee can be worn front or back with a scooped plunging neckline on the side of the graphic.  The tee is available in a deep berry pink as well.  The opposite side is solid colored with no graphic.

Other versatile details are more subtle but sill just as transitional.  The butterfly tee can be worn as a short-sleeved v-neck tee or as a summery v-neck tank, simply by rolling the sleeves.  This style is also available in black and may be worn backwards as well.

The line also includes a racer-back graphic tank that is not transitional, but just as sassy as the other pieces.  Linear dots and striking graphic eyes with luscious lashes will capture the attention of any passerby.

PreRogative by RbME was designed by the brand as a season-less fashion staple.  The tees can be paired under blazers and vests or simply worn with jeans.

The Ayme Reversible Wrap Dress is a modern day evolution of the classic women’s staple.  It features a voluptuous collar with a plunging v-neck, making it perfect to wear with a solid colored tube top or cami.  The cap sleeves are just right for spring.

The best part about the Ayme Reversible Wrap Dress is, of course, it’s reversible!  The dress will be available in several colorways, including a royal blue or a rosy peach on one side and a spring-time graphic print on the other.

The drapy collar is similar to Revelation by M.E.’s removable cover-up found on the Katie Dress from their Fall 2009 Collection.  The designers have replaced the side leather buckle with a softer, seasonal wrap belt.  The other noticeable difference is the Amye Reversible Wrap Dress will be knee length and perfect for business casual office attire.

MAV Foundation Fashion Show Benefiting Leukemia and Lymphoma Cancer Research

Revelation by M.E. will be featured in a charity fashion show benefiting leukemia and lymphoma cancer research, sponsored by the MAV Foundation.  RbME will showcase versatile styles of day to evening dresses and contemporary women’s apparel including their current Fall 2009 Collection and their upcoming Spring 2010 Collection.  They will also premier their season-less collection of versatile graphic t-shirts, PreRogative by RbME.

“This is such a great cause, and as fellow FIDM alumni, we are very happy to be apart of the fashion fundraiser,” said Myrda Monasterial, co-designer for Revelation by M.E. The MAV Foundation was founded by Jennifer Delmendo Miguel and Michael Enriquez who lost their close friend, Melissa Ann Vitug, for whom the foundation is named, to cancer in 2007.  Funds raised through the fashion show and additional MAV Foundation events aid the families of those suffering from the disease to help pay medical bills and housing while their family members undergo treatment.
